Kolymbia beach in Rhodes |
Between Anthony Quinn beach, and perhaps Rhodes' best beach Tsambika, there are three beaches in a row. First up is Tragandou and then Afandou, where the Rhodes golf course is also located. Then comes Kolymbia, which is a fairly large tourist resort, but the beach is not as nice as, for example, Afandou beach, but for that reason the beach is not bad. Near Kolymbia is the quiet oasis of Efta Piges, which I can warmly recommend.

Above the beach are several large hotels. The centre itself is a bit above the beach. If you drive the main road down towards Lindos, turn left to get to Kolymbia. There you drive through one of the finest avenues I have seen, for two kilometres the road is lined with tall eucalyptus trees. A paradise if you were a koala bear. There is even a hotel called Hotel Koala. Of course, the avenue and the street are called Eucalyptus Street.
