Epta Piges in Rhodos |
Epta Piges, or the Seven Springs, is one of the greenest places
in all of Rhodes. From the mountains above, seven streams ripple through
a beautiful deciduous forest. At Epta Piges, the streams meet and the
water flows through a tunnel down to an artificial lake from which the
Kolymbia Plain is irrigated.

If you don't suffer from claustrophobia, you can follow the path of the water down to the lake through the dark narrow tunnel. Bring good shoes. The lake can also be reached via a path. The tavernas at Epta Piges attract with strategically placed tables, soothing rippling water, noisy cicadas and screaming peacocks.
Should I stay or should I go?
Many choose to enter the tunnel without knowing where it leads.
Those who enter the tunnel will eventually arrive here.
Epta Piges is located about 31 kilometres south of Rhodes Town, quite close to Archangelos, which is one of Rhodes' largest villages with about 5,300 inhabitants. If you are coming from Rhodes town, turn right at Kolymbia along the road to Lindos. From the exit road, it is approximately 3 kilometres to Epta Piges.
