Haraki beach and village in Rhodes

Haraki, or Charaki, is located approximately 36 kilometres south of Rhodes town, midway between Stegna and Lindos. It is a very nice village, which I, and many people with me, like very much. It is not at all as touristy as in other tourist destinations. In the village there is a nice pebble beach that stretches along a wide bay where small fishing boats are anchored.

The pleasant beach promenade is lined with tavernas, cafes, bars and hotels. Haraki is, in my opinion, one of the best tourists resorts in all of Rhodes. You get here with your own vehicle, or by bus from Mandraki harbour in Rhodes town.

On a rock at the far end of the beach is the ancient fortress of Feraklos Castle, said to be the last of the Knights of St. John's castles to fall into the hands of the Turks. The fortress gives a mighty sight from all sides and there is a splendid view from the fortress itself. On the other side of the rock is the very fine sandy beach of Agathi.

Haraki in Rhodes is a quiet and relaxed tourist resort with a nice beach, good hotels and good restaurants and tavernas.

HOTELS IN HARAKI

I have noticed that more and more of our readers choose to live in Haraki. Unfortunately I haven't stayed overnight myself, but I definitely will at some point. I guess it's very cozy in the evenings. Below are suggestions for good hotels in Haraki.
