Paros has to be a nightmare for package-holiday operators, because
here are few attractions that attracts customers to make day trips. There
are no temples, no spectacular excavations or ancient theatres, and that
despite the fact that Paros has a long and interesting history.
But isn't it any attractions at all? Well, surely there are some
attractions on Paros, for example the popular Valley of the Butterflies
and an old marble quarry, and of course the church of Panagia Ekatontapliani
in Parikia. If you want to see a
really interesting sight: take the ferry to Antiparos
and climb down into the fascinating
cave.
