Naxos offers a number of interesting attractions. Besides beautiful
beaches, picturesque villages and a beautiful and friendly hiking landscape
there are numerous of Venetian castles and towers, some interesting temples
and a trio of strange stone statues. Something not to be missed is Vallindras
Kitron distillery in Chalki.
The island is also teeming with fine churches, some are very old
and very interesting. Panagia Drossiani and Panagia Damiotissa,
south of the village of Moni, are two examples of such churches. Here
