Sivota is located between Marandochori and Poros in the southern parts of Lefkada. From the road leading down to the village, you have an incredibly beautiful and tranquil view of the fjord-like inlet of Sivota (see picture at the bottom of the page).

I have mentioned the beautiful surroundings around Nidri and Vlichos, but the fact is that Sivota is, if possible, just that bit better. The village is quite large in terms of surface area, it extends through half the inlet, but at the same time it is very small, there are almost no streets, all buildings stands along the waterfront, but on the other hand it is very long.

Thanks to the sheltered location of the inlet, Sivota is many sailor's paradise, a large number of fishermen do also use Sivota as anchorage for their boats. Here are a variety of tavernas with strategic location along the waterfront, many of them have fresh fish on the menu, some are tempting with fresh lobster. The location of the tavernas, the beautiful surroundings and the lively port makes it impossible to leave Sivota without a visit to any of the tavernas.

If you want to stay (I would love it!) overnight at this beautiful place, then there are several accommodation options. Personally I would have chosen to stay at Galini Studios which has a fantastic location.
