Accommodation in Kefalonia

If you are travelling on a package holiday - which you probably do - you most probably stay in either Argostoli, on the peninsula of Lixouri, Lassi or Svoronata. What is best is a matter of taste. It is calmest in Svoronata, if you like the hustle and bustle choose Argostoli, and if you want to stay close to the beach choose Lassi or Lixouri.

If you are travelling independently, you can choose almost any village. If I had to choose a village I would choose Argostoli, Fiskardo, Assos or Agia Efimia. Do not expect that you are greeted by letters of rooms in the ports. It does not work at all as for example in the Cyclades. Therefore it is best to book in advance.
