Villages on Santorini

Santorini's villages can be divided into four categories: a little touristy, very touristy, incredible touristy and finally the fourth category: traditional villages. The last-mentioned category is in a minority. Unfortunately, there is no getting away from the fact that Santorini's attraction have resulted in an almost uncontrolled exploitation. This is most obvious in Fira and Oia. Fortunately, there is breathing rooms as well, like Megalochori, Emborio and Exo Gonia.
