Hike on Samos |
The sometimes dramatic landscape, the nice villages and the beautiful nature make Samos a very pleasant hiking island. Above all, it is the area around Samos' highest mountain, Kerkis, that attracts hikers, and around the villages in Nightingale Valley.
On a hike to the waterfall above Potami beach.
If you want to easily sniff Samos as a hiking island, I can recommend you to go to the waterfall above Potami beach, which is near Karlovassi in the north of Samos. |
There are several books that describe Samos hiking trails, some of the best can be bought on Samos, on the internet, or in well-stocked bookstores in Sweden. Walking on Samos by Dieter Graf Walks in the Kokkari Area of Samos by Lance Chilton Landscapes of Samos by Brian & Eileen Anderson
