The Rodini Park in Rhodes Town |
Three kilometres from the centre of Rhodes town, along the road to Lindos, lies the townspeople's own little oasis: Rodini Park. Inside the park, it is green and leafy and relatively quiet. Straight through the park runs a stream with floating water lilies. The park is home to peacocks and muscovy ducks that are fed by visiting townspeople.

The Rodini Park was already popular in Roman times, they even built an aqueduct here. In the park there are several tombs, an ancient tomb believed to be the tomb of Ptolemy which has been buried in a rock. I always visit the Rodini Park when I'm in Rhodes, not because there's anything new to see there from the last visit, but to get away from the intense and noisy traffic in Rhodes town.
