Faliraki beach in Rhodes |
Faliraki is an insanely long beach, actually one of the longest I've seen. Photographing the entire beach is an impossibility. Faliraki is also one of the largest tourist resorts on Rhodes, but you don't notice that much when you are on the beach itself. The hotels are a bit above and even if a lot of people live here, there is always room on the beach. Faliraki is located approximately 10 kilometres south of Rhodes town. You can get here with your own vehicle, you can also go by bus or boat from Mandraki harbour in Rhodes town.

Faliraki is Rhodes' largest tourist resort and is a popular destination for party-hungry young people. There are any number of bars and clubs here. Of course, there are many adults who travel here as well. I couldn't imagine living in Faliraki. It's like its own planet and it's hard to believe you're in Greece, Faliraki is more like Brighton than a village in Greece. If you don't like giant tourist resorts like Faliraki, I can warmly recommend Stegna, which is reasonably close to Faliraki.
