The first question to be asked is where on the island you want to stay. A question that is not easy to answer, it all depends on what you're looking for. If you ask me, I will for sure answer Faros, but the peace and quiet in Faros do not suit everyone. If you want to stay where it is a little more hustle and bustle you can choose Kamares or Apollonia, if you are looking for a beachfront accommodation and peaceful evenings, choose Vathy or Faros, if you want to stay with views, to be close to good bathing-places with rocks and wing-beat of history choose to stay in Kastro. Platys Gialos is a good option for those who prefer traditional tourist resorts. For families the best options are Kamares or Faros.

It is not as common as on other islands to be meet by letter of rooms when you arrive at the port of Karames. If you arrive unbooked, and are going to stay in Kamares, you can walk around and look for accommodation. If you are going to stay in another village, it is easiest to take a taxi. Do you not like to look for accommodation on the location, of course you just pre-book a hotel.

If you want to book ahead, which most do nowadays, you find links to selected hotels and pensions on Sifnos below. The links go to booking.com which is the booking site that most people use, with some exception that you book directly from the owners.
