Achladies, Kanapitsa & Tzaneria in Skiathos

Achladies is a very popular beach for package travellers with fine golden sand and inviting waters. Achladies is the first of a series of really nice beaches, you could say that this is where paradise begins.

Above the beach are a bunch of package holiday hotels, some with pools and beautiful views of the sea. There are also several tavernas here. Taxi boats to Skiathos Town (4 km) depart fairly regularly, and buses of course also run. If you are going to take the bus to Achladies, get off at bus stop 10.

Just after Achladies is the peninsula of Kanapitsa where there are two or three small beaches of good quality. Tzaneria is the best of the beaches. Kanapitsa beach is very narrow, the sun beds are almost out in the water, but it is very beautifully situated. If you are taking the bus to Tzaneria and Kanapitsa, get off at bus stop 12.
