Agios Sostis beach on Serifos |
Agios Sostis is in my opinion Serifos' most beautifully located beach. The beach lies about 3 kilometres northeast of Livadi and you go here with your own transport, by car or scooter, or on foot. Agios Sostis, along with Lia beach, is my favourite beach on the island.
Agios Sostis beach is located approximately three kilometers northeast of Livadi.
The sandy beach forms a spit with sea on both sides, the bay is adorned by the little church on the cape that gave the beach its name. Agios Sostis is a pretty small beach, but unlike Lia beach, here is shallow and the sand is soft and golden. The crystal clear water changes between blue and green.
The beach is named after the church you see in the picture above. |
Agios Sostis.
Some tamarisk trees at the beginning of the beach provides a much needed shade. Agios Sostis is a perfect beach for families with children. Behind the church is a nice bathing-place with rocks and good snorkelling waters.
