It is a matter of taste where the best place is to stay on Karpathos. Perhaps serene Lefkos with its nice beaches and quiet nightlife, or Amopi which is a more a typical tourist resort with several of nice beaches and a decent range of tavernas. Pigadia suits better if you like the pulse of a city, you are also close to the long beach and a wide range of tavernas, cafes, bars and shops. If you are in the mood for a little adventure, then stay a few nights in Olympos and experience this gem without crowding with other tourists.
