Play golf in Costa Navarino in Peloponnese |

Costa Navarino in the southwestern Peloponnese opened as recently as 2010, and is considered one of the world's finest golf courses. Costa Navarino consists of two courses: The Dunes Course and The Bay Course.

I don't play golf myself, but if I did I would definitely go here and play. The area is stunningly beautiful, and for those who want to see and do something other than play golf, there is plenty to do. There are several very nice hotels here with all imaginable facilities.

The golf courses are on classic land and the wingspan of history is ever-present. Here is located, among other things, the fine village of Pylos, and Nestor's Palace, where Telemachos began his search for his father Odysseus. Here there are several waterfalls, a wetland that is considered one of Greece's best birding areas and fantastic beaches that make you think of the Caribbean (see picture below). In addition, it is close to interesting villages such as Koroni, Methoni and Finikounda, to the town of Kalamata, famous for its olives, as well as to the fantastic beach of Voidokilia.

Another big plus with Costa Navarino is that it is easy to travel here. Aegean Airlines flies directly from many countries to Kalamata. From the airport, it is approximately 50 kilometres to Costa Navarino. Taxis cost between €60-70.
