Beaches on Alonissos

If the beaches on Alonissos would have been as nice as, for example the ones on Skiathos and Skopelos, then Alonissos would have been a totally different island, mass tourism would dominate and much of the small island's charm would disappear.

There are few sandy beaches, shingle beaches dominate. But - and this is important - the water is delightful. So it does not matter that the beaches are not exemplary.
