On a cliff, above Kastro, lies the nunnery of Zoodochos Pigi. The monastery was built in 1690, but has not been in use since 1836. For many years, the monastery was the islanders' last refuge when the pirates harried at the most. Today, when it is more peaceful, the doors of the monastery are open to visitors every afternoon and evening.

The view over the sea, towards Folegandros, is so beautiful so you will never forget it. Not to mention the sunset, it is more beautiful than many of the more famous sunsets in the Cyclades.

If you glance down towards the sea, the entire mountainside is covered with old terrace cultivations from old wine-growings.
