Panormos in Tinos |
Panormos lies about 25 kilometres from Tinos town, and about three kilometres below Pyrgos. Panormos is a fishing village with a charming seaside location with plenty of tavernas and fish restaurants. All restaurants have a view over the port full of colourful rocking fishing boats.

There are many restaurants serving very good Greek food in Panormos. |
It may seem strange with so many eating places in such a small village, but it is explained when the tour buses from Tinos town begins to pull in. Then it gets crowded at the tavernas. Previously the port was used to ship out marble.
To the left of the island in the middle are three smaller beaches.
An okay beach is just to the left of the village, a far better beach is to the right of Panormos. You walk or drive along the waterfront until it ends, around the corner, just a short distance, lies a beach in a nice bay. The beach, named Rochari beach is quite long and is lined with shady tamarisk trees.
