Koumaros on Tinos

Koumaros lies about 10 kilometres north of Tinos town, at the foot of the mighty fortress of Exobourgos.

The beautiful village of Koumaros is located at the foot of Mount Exobourgos on Tinos in the Cyclades.

Koumaros located at the foot of the mountain Exobourgos.

When you enters the village you literally walk into the village. Among the first things you will see is a narrow alley where the stone arches follow one another, and the feeling of being indoors is striking. Poppies and hollyhocks grows along the arches in the spring, and water is also purling through the village.

In parts of the village it feels like you are indoors.

All the water makes the village to be one of the most verdant on Tinos. Orchids of various kinds grow in the surroundings. If you follow the main alley through the village to its end, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lush valleys.

On the island of Tinos in Greece, beautiful orchids, lemon trees and orange trees grow.

Flowers grow everywhere, and in places even lemon trees.

Koumaros on Tinos is one of the Cyclades' finest villages.

Koumaros. It so beautiful! Imagine then how beautiful this is in reality.

Koumaros lies south of Volax, which is one of the island's most interesting villages. If you are going to visit Volax, do not miss a detour to Koumaros. If you are hungry I can recommend Taverna Pentostrato in Mesi, which lies quite close to Koumaros.
