Agios Stefanos beach in Mykonos |
Agios Stefanos lies about three kilometres north of Mykonos Town, just after the big port. The beach is located in a small bay, which is usually protected from strong winds. It is a very nice beach consisting of fine golden sand and fine sandy bottom. The beach is child friendly. The view towards Mykonos Town is very attractive. If you are a ferry geek you have plenty to do, watching all the ferries that come and go to and from the port.
Agios Stefanos is a very child-friendly beach.

If you are out for an evening swim, you can swim together with the sunset which is very beautiful from here. Agios Stefanos is not as exploited as the beaches south of Mykonos Town. But still no amenities are missing. The beach is surrounded by several snack bars, tavernas, hotels and pensions. |

Tourlos is the name of the beach south of Agios Stefanos (i.e. closer to Mykonos Town), and here are also all kinds of amenities. Tourlos has, as a beach, lost popularity since the new port was built. But it's close to town, and that's good.
Agios Stefanos is not as developed as the beaches south of Mykonos town.
